Like journalists, courtroom artists are warned not to speak with defendants while they are on trial. But at the end of his civil trial, Robert Blake was eager to speak with Edwards. As it turns out, Blake had been developing his artistic skills while incarcerated. Other inmates showed him how to use the food dye in Skittles candies to make watercolor paintings.
