Competitive Eating Slideshow
Japanese hot dog champ Takeru Kobayashi is the Lance Armstrong of competitive eating. The 137-pound dynamo enjoyed his sixth straight win at Nathan's July 4th contest, beating his 2004 record of 53 and a 1/2 hot dogs and buns in 12 minutes, by a quarter-dog. The Coney Island, N.Y., contest has been an anual event since 1916, but until 15 years ago, no man had ever broken the 12-minute 20-hotdog barrier. In recent years, Kobayashi has revolutionized the sport, proving that the human stomach has no limits.
