Last Laughs (and Sappy Moments) From Sitcom Finales

"Seinfeld" long relished the claim of being the TV show about nothing, just Jerry, Elaine, George and Kramer dissecting life's minutiae. But the 1998 sign-off was another high concept affair, with Jerry's gang put on trial under a good Samaritan law, after witnessing a street crime and, as usual, doing nothing. George and Jerry end up in jail lost in a conversation about the buttons on their shirts. "Haven't we had this conversation before," George says. They did, in the first episode.
