Mel Gibson

Mel Gibson

When the high and mighty fall, the road to recovery begins with a public apology. A day after Mel Gibson's arrest on suspicion of drunken driving, he apologized for "despicable" behavior. Three days later he acknowledged making anti-Semitic remarks. "Please know from my heart that I am not an anti-Semite. I am not a bigot," he said in a written statement. "Hatred of any kind goes against my faith."
