Hollywood Loves a Disaster
Hollywood once again opens the floodgates on disaster films. A remake of the 1972 classic "The Poseidon Adventure" hits theaters with Kurt Russell, far left, Josh Lucas and Richard Dreyfuss, near left, part of the all-star cast. Moviegoers have long favored the thrills and chills of these big-screen spectaculars, and many are milestones that reflect what scared the public most at the time they were released.
