Like a lot of other pro athletes, racing pigeons are now soaring to new heights, thanks to performance-enhancing drugs. Police in Belgium have raided the homes of dozens of breeders and confiscated suspicious feeds and medicines, according to The Associated Press. Pigeon racing is Belgium's national sport, and top birds that soar faster than 70 mph have sold for more than $25,000.

The next frontier for advertisers — dessert. Wonton Foods of New York is now printing tiny ads on the backs of fortune cookie slips. Mark Hughes of Half.com told The Associated Press he hopes people will find the fortune cookies funny. But what would Confucius say?
