Calvin Broadus, aka Snoop Dogg, was one of the most relaxed, confident defendants Edwards has ever seen. In 1996, the West Coast rapper was facing first-degree murder charges stemming from a drive-by shooting, but remained impeccably dressed and signed autographs at the breaks. He and his entourage "appeared as though they were making an appearance at an awards show." Eventually, a mistrial was declared.
