"Friends" bowed out six years later, and that episode -- with 52 million viewers -- was the top-rated entertainment show on any network since the "Seinfeld" send-off. The characters were no longer 20-somethings. Monica and Chandler had moved off to the suburbs, while Ross and Rachel were still trying to pull their relationship out of second gear. Meanwhile, Joey moved to L.A., to set up the ill-fated spinoff "Joey."
