But on Hollywood's big night, style -- not politics -- is more likely to be up for debate. When Barbra Streisand ran to the stage to receive Best Actress honors in 1968 for "Funny Girl," she tore her Scaasi bellbottoms on the way to the stage. To make matters worse, Bab's outfit was perhaps more see-through under Oscar's spotlight than she may have wished. Still, she raised the Oscar and famously said to it, "Hello, gorgeous!"
