25 Years of Celebrities in Court
For the likes of Martha Stewart and Winona Ryder (left), the courtroom became something of a fashion show. Ironically, when she's not in the courtroom, Edwards is regularly employed as a fashion illustrator. "I eagerly covered Ryder's couture looks, a new one every day," she says, recalling the actress's 2002 shoplifting trial. Still, Edward noted that Ryder benefited from her notoriety, despite the embarrassment of being found guilty of grand theft and vandalism, gracing the cover of W Magazine in a "Free Winona" T-shirt and hosting "Saturday Night Live."
