In "A Few Good Men," Cruise was called on to confront an intimidating Jack Nicholson, who plays Col. Nathan Jessep. When Cruise's Lt. Daniel Kaffee demands, "I want the truth," Jessep famously bellows, "You can't handle the truth." Of course, Cruise also gets to challenge military fraternization policies with his relationship with fellow officer Demi Moore.
