25 Years of Celebrities in Court
Of course, a celebrity's public persona can just as easily be a liability, and ammunition for courtroom adversaries. In 2003, rocker Tommy Lee was sued after a neighbor's child drowned in his swimming pool. The child's parents claimed he wrecklessly hired caterers and a doorman for his child's birthday party, but no lifeguard. In court, Edwards says the Motley Crue drummer came across as respectful, and was not held responsible for the death.
