Tom Cruise's Hollywood Blockbusters
Cruise is an altogether different sort of '80s-era icon in "Rain Man." As the quintessential selfish yuppie Charlie Babbitt, he learns some humanity after kidnapping and later caring for his autistic brother. At first, he demonstrates bad care-giving. "Three minutes to Wapner!" he says, using TV as a baby sitter. Later he imparts important fashion advice: "Kmart sucks!"
